Does Your Goal Excite You?

People that achieve their goals don’t get excited because they achieved them, they achieve them because they are excited about achieving them!

Sounds a bit confusing doesn’t it? That’s because most people are thinking backwards when it comes to their goals.

Your Blueprint To Success

I was with a good friend today and we were having a conversation about memory and how incredible our minds truly are. He shared a story with me that I thought would be great to share with you!

The other day he was driving on the freeway near the town he grew up in and the traffic was heavy. He was on a busy route in Massachusetts called Interstate 95. If you have ever traveled this route near Boston during rush hour, you know what he was experiencing! The freeway was literally a parking lot!

My friend decided to pull off of the freeway and try to make his way home taking back roads. He pulled off in the town he grew up in and started down a road that he had not been on in 30 years. As he was driving, he thought to himself “I wonder if I can remember my way through here!”

Well as he drove along, it was like he had just driven in that area yesterday, all the left and right turns came to him as if he travelled those roads everyday! Although the scenery may have changed, his memory of traveling those roads 30 years ago was perfect!

Many times you will hear or maybe even say “I have a horrible memory”. This is simply not true at all! At the subconscious level, we all have a perfect memory! Think about when you were a child and you learned to ride a bicycle. It was difficult at first staying balanced, pedaling evenly and keeping your eyes on the road!

After repeating this process over and over again, it soon became a habit and you no longer needed to think about how to ride a bicycle, your subconscious mind took over and you would ride without any conscious thought at all. As a matter of fact, you could ride while talking to friends, eating an ice cream cone and not even thinking about your balance!

See, once you have developed a habit, your conscious mind no longer needs to work, it prints a blueprint onto your subconscious mind and it is there forever. If you haven’t rode a bicycle in 20 years, you could hop on one today and just ride it without any conscious thought at all, your subconscious mind will pull up the blueprint and away you go!

This happens with everything you do repeatedly; therefore repeating an idea over and over will develop a habit. This is good and bad! It’s good because you can begin to repeat a positive thought or begin to do something positive physically and over time the thought or behavior will be printed onto your subconscious mind and a positive habit will be created! This is how success is created in all areas of life.

So here is the bad news, your subconscious mind does not discriminate between good habits and bad, it just accepts whatever repeated thoughts or behaviors you allow in and prints a blueprint regardless of whether it is positive or negative!

This is why so many people are stuck. They continue to get the same poor results over and over and wonder why. See, they are repeating the same thoughts or behaviors and expecting a new result. The thoughts and behaviors are being controlled by their subconscious mind. They continue to do things that are not serving them even though they know they are not serving them.

See, like the blueprint of riding a bicycle will allow you to unconsciously ride a bicycle, the blueprint of poor habits will continue to have you unconsciously repeat the poor habit and that is why you get stuck!

If you truly want to get unstuck, you must create a new blueprint! You can start today, find something that you can read or listen to over and over through spaced repetition and start printing a new blueprint onto your subconscious mind that will have you unconsciously creating success in your life!

Is it Positive or Negative?

What are you allowing to enter your mind?

I am always encouraging my students to listen to positive people and programs, however sometimes although we may think we are, the reality is that we may be listening to negative people and negative programs.

May times when we are being entertained and we find ourselves laughing, we assume we are in a positive environment, however if we really listen to what is entertaining us, it can sometimes be quite negative. This type of entertainment silently puts you in a negative vibration which ultimately attracts negativity into your life!

Become aware of what you allow into your mind and surround yourself with positive people. This will make you feel great and if you feel great, you will attract great things into your life!

What is Missing For You?

I thought about my Personal Development journey and wondered when I finally understood how to create success in my life.

I’m sure you have read books and invested in programs, workshops and seminars, however you are still searching for the answer! I thought about the hundreds of books, audio’s, seminars and workshops I have been to and it seemed as though there was always something missing. I never seemed to have all 3 numbers to the combination I needed to unlock the door to success.

I felt that many times I got 2 out of the 3 numbers which constantly left me frustrated and in search.

I certainly realize that the answers may have been there and I just wasn’t ready to hear it and that may be the case for you as well. You see  you have to re-read or re-listen over and over to the same message for it to finally click.

I was reading everything I could get my hands on from every Personal Development Expert out there, but I was still not getting what I was looking for. I then began to not just listen but begin to study the work of my friend mentor Bob Proctor. Bob’s information was truly developmental and suddenly I found the 3rd number to the combination for me!

Well that combination is different fro everyone and it occurred to me as I am writing my new book that I want to make sure that in all my work, I do my best to reveal all the numbers to the success combination.

I don’t want to be just another Personal Development Expert, I truly want to help everyone I come in contact with, get the results they want in life and business. So I thought that since the only way to know what all the others are missing, I would ask you.

Through out your journey, what do you feel is missing in what you have read and studied? I want to make sure I am not leaving anything out.

Watch the video below and email me right away. I will take all the information that you send me and make my best effort to insure that I give you all the answers in my programs, seminars, workshops and books.

Thanks in advance.

Do You Have A Burning Desire?

Is there something deep down inside of you that continues to surface into your conscious mind that you know is why you were put here on this planet?

So many people have a burning desire to do, be or have something, however they continue to live hoping that “Some Day” things will change and they will fulfill that desire.

Most people are stuck and they don’t know why, however there are only two things that actually move people towards having what they truly desire. The first thing is pain and the second is pleasure. I would rather be moved by something that gives me pleasure rather than pain, how about you?

I was thinking about this and decided to record a short video to help you if you are one of those people.

I hope you enjoy!

Careful What You Wish For!

You probably have heard the phrase “Careful what you wish for”. Understanding this phrase is truly important. So many people spend their days in wishful thinking without really thinking about what they are wishing for!

You may know people like this or you may even find yourself doing this as well, it’s not uncommon. See most of us want more than we currently have, and that is certainly okay. We were not put on this earth to live a life of mediocrity, we were put here to live a life of joy and abundance, it’s truly our birthright.

Since we want more, many of us spend our days wishing, but we don’t have a clear picture of what we want, this is where we go wrong. I have coaching clients that have come to me wondering why they were just laid off from their job. After asking a few questions, they quickly reveal to me that they have been wishing for a better job or wishing they could own their own company.

Well, this is where you have to be “Careful what you wish for”. See the Universe will give you what you want, however it does not respond well to ambiguity. When my coaching client wished for a new job, the Universe worked in the most convenient way possible and in order for her to have a new job, she needed to lose her current job!

This happens in many other circumstances such as wishing to live somewhere other than where you are currently living. If you are wishing that you could live somewhere else, but you are not specific and clear about where that somewhere else is, you will find yourself somewhere else for sure, but it may not be where you really had in mind!

This certainly applies to being financially successful, you must be clear about what that truly means to you. Napoleon Hill says this best in his incredible book “Think and Grow Rich”

Riches do not respond to wishes. They respond only to definite plans, backed by definite desires, through constant PERSISTENCE.

So rather than wish for a thing, clearly define what it is that you truly desire. Begin to create a clear image of what it looks like. Get emotionally involved in the image and act with faith and expectancy as it is on its way to you!

Decision

Have you ever had trouble making a decision?

Are you having trouble deciding if you have trouble making decisions?

I know I am being smart with that second question, but I also know that most people really struggle when it comes to deciding. Have you ever been out with your spouse or a friend and gotten hungry? You ask “Where do you want to go to eat?”. The reply is “I don’t know, where do you want to go?”. Of course you respond with “I don’t know, you decide.”

You both go back and forth and neither of you can decide! I know this seems like a silly example, however this is quite common. You see all our lives we have been told what to do, so even as adults, we are always waiting for someone else to tell us what to do.

When you were a child, your parents told you what to do, then you went to school and your teachers told you what to do. When you went into the working world, your boss told you what to do and of course if you’re married, there is a good chance your spouse tells you what to do!

Because of this constant conditioning or programming, we need to be told what to do and this causes us to have difficulty making decisions.

It is important that you develop your ability to make decisive decisions if you want to succeed in life. Decisions are critical to your success; you must know what you want. When you know what you want, it allows you to determine whether your decision will get you there.

Most people will finally make a decision and then worry about the outcome. This is because they are not certain about what they truly want, it’s not clear. Here is an example I recently read in Maxwell Maltz’s book Psycho Cybernetics that explains this well.

“Do your worrying before you place your bet, not after the wheel starts turning”

To paraphrase William James: Emotions of anxiety have their place in planning and deciding on a course of action, but that, when a decision has been reached and execution is the order of the day, dismiss absolutely all responsibility and care about the outcome.

Imagine watching people playing roulette, they quickly place their chips on the table selecting without much thought the color and number they want to bet on. This decision happens without much concern or worry. It’s not until the wheel begins to turn that all the worry and anxiety begins to build. You watch everyone clenching their fists, yelling all kinds of things to try and affect the result they want. There is all kinds of worry, doubt, anxiety and fear of loss happening!

How silly is this? If they want to worry, have concern or figure out their odds, they should do this before deciding to place their bets! They could have done something about it then. But once the wheel starts turning they might as well relax and have fun because no matter how much they jump around, create anxiety in their bodies and worry, nothing will change the outcome.

You must make your decisions based on what you want and then relax knowing that you are heading in the right direction. This creates a sense of calmness knowing that you are moving in the direction of your dream and that it is just a matter of time before your dream becomes your reality.

As James Allen so eloquently wrote:

“Calmness of mind is one of the beautiful jewels of wisdom. It is a result of long and patient effort in self-control. Its presence is an indication of ripened experience, and of a more than ordinary knowledge of the laws and operations of thought”

Picture what you want and when the time comes to make a decision, ask yourself “Will being this doing this or having this, move me in the direction of my goal?” If the answer is yes, DECIDE and MOVE!

To Your Success!

Less Talking, More Doing

“You can’t build a reputation on what you’re going to do.”
Henry Ford

Henry Ford is a man who truly left an incredible legacy…the CAR. I would say that the automobile is a worthy achievement! Ford got us out from behind those smelly horses and bumpy carriage rides and this alone would be worthy of note. (Sorry horse lovers, I’m sure your horse doesn’t smell)

However…

Ford left us with something even more important, he left us with a story of amazing accomplishment that came from a man who describes himself as not the smartest guy in the world. So, how is it that a man who wasn’t the smartest or the best spoken became such an incredible part of history? DESIRE and ACTION.

Henry Ford possessed more desire than anyone else of his time, he was a man who did not use the term “I can’t” nor did he allow his people to. Ford used one of the strongest forces in the world to build an empire only a few have ever dreamed of. He had a dream of riding in an automobile and nobody was going to take that dream away.

Dreams are everywhere and that is a good thing but, remember that dreams, as important as they are, literally hold no value without the desire to back them up. Desire comes from deep down inside very similar to where dreams come from but, desire causes a person to manifest action and action is the key to making dreams come true.

If you have  a dream and desire combined you can accomplish anything you want to accomplish. This has been proven time and time again.

Ideas are a Dime a Dozen

Remember that ideas are a dime a dozen the action to follow through on those ideas is a rare commodity.  So often you will hear someone talking about their plans and what they are going to do, it is seldom you see those talkers actually doing!

Personal growth is about showing you how to not only dream bigger but learn how to put yourself in position to take action on those dreams. I know I can help you realize your dreams and I hope you will let me, I’m looking forward to it!

To your success,
